The most recent wave of giggles has faded. (Post Bachelor Party - Pre CfJ)

"Oh man. That was awful of us." Bette doesn't look like she thought it was awful. She looks like she thought it was a laugh riot. "We're bad, bad people." Of course that nearly sets off another wave of the giggles as she looks over to her compatriot.

Pausing, she looks around and scruchnes up her face some. "Where the hell are we anyway?" They've wandered some from Warriors, not having had anywhere specific in mind to get to after leaving. "Ah who cares. We can worry about it later." A pause, "That was awesome. In a horrible way. I'm starving. Are you hungry? We should get some hashbrowns."

"We'd never ask you to do something that might get you in trouble with Vic or your conscience," Jesse says hastily, looking from Wally back to Bette. "Though...well, I guess we know where we all stand."

"But we do have beer."

God. She's going to be tearing out her hair shortly. Being responsible sucks.

Jesse pauses. She's Miss Responsibility here and would never encourage someone to do what they ought not, so she clears her throat, takes a sip of Wally's beer, then asks, "So, um...how does one get permission for this sort of thing?"

"She doesn't know yet, she said. And you can't tell him it's US. I don't know if I could look him in the eye again afterward, because it'd be weird."

"It's already weird."

"This is weird, right? I'm not the only one getting crazy with the cheese whiz here? This is completely off the beaten path and we should get the Federation Medal of Honor for boldly going where no one has gone before?"

"Well. The only experience I've had with this sort of thing before isn't really worth talking about. And I don't know if he's going to want to know who. I don't know what he's going to want to know. I...."

Bette lets out a breath, "I'm sort of scared to ask him."

Jesse stares at Wally because honestly, she has no idea what he just said past the weird bit. And now she's wondering what in hell he wants to do with cheese whiz. "Bette, don't push it. We're all good here. And there's no reason to jeopardize a good thing with Vic just because we're...um....well. Yeah. We're here."

"She's right. Honestly, don't stress about it. It's just... a... thing. It's not THAT important."

Swallow.

"It'd just be really, really awesome."
