"Yeah. I'm fine. We're fine. I just..." Bette pauses, "I've been..."

How to say this?

"I wanted to sleep with other people. And ... Well.. Vic and I have an arrangement of sorts, though it isn't going to be long term or anything. Just until I get past this." She pauses at that, as if wondering if it is something she's going to 'get past'.
