Jesse's place, as it happens, is a penthouse in a high-rise residence that overlooks the waterfront. With its wrap-around balcony and modern, marble-laden conveniences, it leaves little doubt as to the cost of such a dwelling...but most of the place, though well decorated and clean - oh, anally tidy - lacks a certain warmth. Only a few things distinctly Jesse are in evidence, most particularly photographs of her parents and her. A photograph of Wally is also prominent.

That is pretty much it.

"Make yourself at home," she says once they've landed on the balcony and Jesse's walked inside. "I'll see what I can find for you."
